Delays of 20 minutes or more may result in a shortened tour.<\/p>\n<h5>Cancellations<\/h5>\n<p>If you must cancel, please contact the Public Programs Office as soon as possible by calling 301-994-4372. We will make every effort to schedule a new date for your visit.<\/p>\n<h5>Weather<\/h5>\n<p>Tours at Historic St. Mary&#8217;s City (HSMC) proceed rain or shine and take place in an outdoor setting. Participants should wear walking shoes and dress for the weather. Please be aware, extreme weather conditions may necessitate the closing of the waterfront and <em>Maryland Dove<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h5>Arrival<\/h5>\n<p>Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of your tour. This will allow for ample time to visit the restrooms before your tour begins. Before arriving, please complete the &#8220;Arrival Information Sheet,&#8221; as this will assist you with payment as you check-in.<\/p>\n<h5>Payment<\/h5>\n<p>There is no deposit required. Payment is required in full on the date of your tour, unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, check, and credit card (Discover, MasterCard, or Visa). Checks are payable to <strong>&#8220;Historic St. Mary&#8217;s City&#8221;<\/strong>. An accurate count of participants is required upon check-in. There is a $20 minimum refund.<\/p>\n<h5>Vehicle Use<\/h5>\n<p>Your vehicles will be needed the entire time at HSMC to transport the group between historical sites. If you are contracting with bus companies, it is important that your drives understand this necessity.<\/p>\n<h5>Accessibility<\/h5>\n<p>The majority of the sites at Historic St. Mary&#8217;s City are wheelchair and stroller accessible. The main house at the Godiah Spray Tobacco Plantation and second floor of the State House are not wheelchair accessible. In these circumstances, print text and images will be provided. The main deck of <em>Maryland Dove<\/em> is ADA compliant.<\/p>\n<p>Historic St. Mary&#8217;s City offers a social narrative of our tour to be sent to a school&#8217;s arrival to help ease the experience. It is recommended for students to transport food in re-useable containers. We do ask you to not climb or sit on our picnic tables.<\/p>\n<h5>Museum Store<\/h5>\n<p>For souvenirs of their tour, groups are encouraged to pre-order goody bags. If you would like to add time to your tour to include the Museum Shop, please notify the Public Programs Office.<\/p>\n<h5>Emergency<\/h5>\n<p>Should an emergency arise, please notify the nearest Historic St. Mary&#8217;s City staff person. All sites have basic first-aid kits. If you or anyone in your group does not wish to be photographed, please let a staff member know.<\/p>\n<h5>Chaperones<\/h5>\n<p>Historic St. Mary\u2019s City does not require a certain ratio of chaperones to students, nor do we limit the number of chaperones who would like to attend.
