A lot, perhaps as explained by Henry Miller during his presentation \u201cThe Founding of Maryland 1632-1634\u201d held March 10 at the St. Mary\u2019s County Library\u2019s Leonardtown branch.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is widely regarded that Maryland was founded March 25, 1634, when English settlers held a public mass and erected a large cross on St. Clement\u2019s Island in the Potomac River.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But Miller believes that \u201ca possible interpretation\u201d could be that it was actually founded two days later on March 27.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
